Until now, American drones have been known as failures on the real battlefield. Finally, an American-made, BlueUAS system is performing on the global stage and is on track for real volume. This is just the start; Neros is vertically integrating drone manufacturing and will build millions of cost-effective systems. Read here: https://lnkd.in/gJPCHBC3 Introducing Neros Archer, the first FPV platform on the BlueUAS list. Archer is a high performance, long range FPV drone capable of carrying a 2 kg/4.5 lb payload over 20 kilometers. The components that make up Archer are engineered by Neros, refined by rigorous battlefield testing, and manufactured in the United States. Archer is paired with Crossbow, our tactical ground station that enables enhanced jamming resistance and standoff between pilot and emitters. Crucially, Archer is an order of magnitude less expensive than other small drones on the BlueUAS list. Neros is building mass-manufacturing of critical unmanned systems, in the United States. Archer’s addition to BlueUAS is one of many steps in the path to bringing advanced and cost-effective capabilities to our warfighters. We are proud to have worked with the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory and Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) on this effort, and want to thank all of our partners who have provided the feedback to refine Archer over the past 16 months. In collaboration with Z Fellows, Nexus hosted a Startup Sunday for a high-energy afternoon of inspiration, demos, and connection with 30+ builders from across SoCal. Here’s what happened: We had the chance to speak with Baylor Adams (Chief of Staff at Z Fellows) and Alex Leiman (Founder of Vert Ventures). By 23, Alex had built viral apps generating over $10M in revenue, launched a pancake business in college that made $500K, and grew his app Wingman to 1.2M+ downloads in just three months. His journey underscored the power of relentless execution—he and his team would sleep just three hours a night, manually DMing content creators and refining their storytelling until their apps took off. He emphasized that virality isn’t just luck but rather a process of immersing yourself in your audience, constantly experimenting with content, and crafting narratives that deeply resonate. Baylor shared invaluable insights from his experience running Z Fellows, a top program that helps founders take their ideas from zero to one by providing funding, mentorship, and a tight-knit builder community. Z Fellows is backed by founders of top companies such as Netflix, Tinder, and Youtube. After the talk, we got to hear talented students from USC, UCLA, and UCI pitch/demo their latest projects.
