Feel free to refer them! Claude Pulls Ahead In The First Month 👏 📈 ! (Spreadsheet Available ⬇️ ) One month has now elapsed since I began my 2025 AI Stock Portfolio Challenge! Here are the results of month 1: ChatGPT returned 1.09% or a total of $1,088. Nvidia's poor performance significantly hurt this portfolio overall, since it makes up 10% of the holdings. Meta and Tesla's strong returns were able to offset this and heavily contributed in pulling the portfolio into the green. One interesting choice that ChatGPT made was to put 2% of its capital into a penny stock called ChargePoint. This stock returned -14% and may be in danger of being delisted from the NASDAQ. Claude returned 2.32%, or a total of $2,320. Even though Claude was also heavily exposed to Nvidia (10%), large positions in the healthcare space such as UnitedHealth Group (8%), Eli Lilly (7%) , and Thermo Fisher Scientific (5%) significantly brought up the portfolio's performance. Claude's choice to include financial services in its portfolio also contributed to its lead in the race. Gemini returned 0.91%, or $907. Gemini also chose to take a large position in Nvidia (12.5%) which contributed negatively to the portfolio's performance. While Gemini did include sectors that did well in January, such as financials and healthcare, they were not enough to help its portfolio catch up to the others. One thing to note is that Gemini only chose to include 10 securities in its portfolio, while ChatGPT chose 18 and Claude chose 15. This may contribute to more volatile results as the race progresses. During January the S&P 500 grew by 2.93%. None of the portfolios were able to outperform it this month.
